PAYMENT & FEES POLICY

LESSON FEES: Base on rate of each district.
Pay monthly by the number and duration of lessons in each month. 

Payment: Payment for the entire month is to be paid in advanced by the 6 ^th day of each month. 

Students are also required to purchase a metronome, tuner, and any other accessories necessary for the use and maintenance of their instrument. 

 

PRACTICE & PERFORMANCE POLICY

STUDENTS: Beginning students are expected to practice 30-45 minutes daily. Intermediate and advanced students are to practice 1-2 hours daily. A practice journal is to be used to both assign and monitor practicing activities. In addition to practicing, students will be given listening and concert attendance assignments. 

Students are required to take part in a solo performance every six months. This can be accomplished by region/area/all-state auditions, UIL solo and ensemble competitions, or by participation in a studio recital. 

PARENTS: It is the parent’s responsibility to help their child make practicing a part of their daily routine and to ensure that the student has a place where they can practice with minimum distractions. 

The instructor reserves the right to terminate instruction for students who are consistently 

unprepared for lessons or who are unwilling to practice as prescribed. 

ATTENDANCE & MAKE-UP POLICY

Students are expected to arrive to their lessons early enough to get set up and begin on time. If the lesson begins late due to the student coming in late, this time will not be made up later. If the student arrives to the lesson 15 minutes late or more, the lesson is cancelled. No refund will be given. 

If a lesson needs to be rescheduled, you must notify me at least 24 hours in advance. 

If the student is sick, please send email or text me ASAP before school start, and I will give the makeup lesson or credit for missing lesson.

In order to ensure their continued musical development, students are strongly encouraged to take lessons over the summer when they are in town. 

NEW STUDENT POLICY

In order to ensure that student and teacher are the right match for each other, an interview will be conducted via phone or in person before the first lesson.
